2025-26 Part-Time Early Childhood Music Teacher (in-studio – morning/afternoon)
The Music Studio/Music & Play is seeking to add a part-time ECE Early Childhood Music Teacher to join our team for the 2025/26 year. The successful applicant would have the opportunity provide instruction to our leading and parented TMC program (for ages 0-4), TMC Big Kids (for ages 4-5) classes as well as our own unparented Music Adventures programs (for ages 4-5). In addition, if you have piano training the successful applicant would also be able to teach our WunderKeys-private preschool piano program for students aged 3.5 – 5.

Applicants for our group ECE programs should be strong singers and confident musicians, be comfortable leading parented and unparented classes and be available to work morning and afternoon hours. Previous musical education and experience teaching young children is a definite asset. The ideal applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills, will communicate well with children (and their parents), be friendly and outgoing and have previous experience in teaching early childhood music.
For those interested in teaching WunderKeys, we prefer that applicants have their Grade 8 piano (RCM or CC), have previous experience teaching younger and beginning piano students and able to work the same hours as above.

Keyboard Adventures: The Safari serves students aged 4-1/2 through 11 years of age and we are looking for dynamic teachers to deliver this new dynamic program. If you have high standards for music and arts education and would like to be part of west Calgary’s leading music school, we want to hear from you.
Teachers for The Safari are fun, outgoing, dynamic individuals with a love of teaching music to children in a group class environment. Classes are parented and unparented – depending on the program level.
To become a teacher of The Safari, applicants will have:
- minimum grade 8 piano – RCM, CC or equivalent music education
- an engaging and animated personality
Successful teachers may also possess:
- previous piano/music teaching experience with groups of a variety of ages
- experience with playing/teaching other instruments
- past theatre experience

Guitar Teacher applicants should have:
– Previous private teaching experience (with all ages of students) as well as knowledge and previous application of standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum for private and or group lessons, and the willingness to work evenings and/or weekends depending on student loads.

The ideal candidate has post-secondary music education, previous drum kit teaching experience (and a variety of percussion instruments preferred – but not required), in a variety of styles, with students aged 8.
