Have you been told that you can’t start a wind instrument at age 4-6 or play with a group yet? Thanks to the creation of the TooT and Dood (by Nuvo), you can!
M&P is proud to offer a great way of learning a wind instrument – EARLY! Using the philosophy of ‘Sound before Sight’, Tütz & Düdz students will learn basic wind instrument skills (on both the TooT and DooD) and play tunes using iconic notation while they listen, move, improvise and – best of all – play as part of a group! Oh, and don’t be fooled by the colours…they’re definitely NOT a little kid toy.
This 45-minute group class runs in two 14-week semesters: in the fall and in the winter/spring ($372) – with parents attending for the last 10 minutes of each class only. Instrument rental & materials are included in the class fees and fees are payable in one or two installments along with a registration fee of $36 (max $72/family/year).
After successfully completing Tütz & Düdz, students will be ready to move to the next level of their band journey and four new NUVO wind instruments: the jFlute, jSax, Clarinéo and the jHorn! Those not quite ready for the move may continue to advance their skills while remaining on a TooT or DooD for a second semester.
So…what’s a TooT you ask…wonder no further – here they are!
